This strawberry ginger doodle shortcake image was my first “finished eating” image. I’ve always wanted to do one. I made it for this Valentine’s Day Recipe, here. Originally, I had styled it with one fork on the plate, but something felt wrong after looking at the image for a minute. I placed a second fork and wallah everything felt right.
Food Photography Of The Day
I think this is really where the importance of styling to your story comes into play with your food photography. Leaving just the single fork would have given a bunch of wrong impressions to the viewer. I know it sounds silly and maybe a little unimportant, one fork or two. First world problems, I know, but just think about it, one fork is singular and who wants to eat alone on Valentine’s Day. 🙁 How sad, right?
Today marks 2 weeks straight of sharing daily food photography with you. I know 14 days isn’t much, but I’m actually surprised to make it this far. It’s nice to be able to sit down each morning an share my thoughts, activities and shenanigans with you. I hope you’re enjoying them too. To catch up on the last 2 weeks click here.
