I took this image durning our fantastic 5 day photoshoot on the grounds of the Beach Restaurant at The Chedi, Oman. It was the third year in a row that we photographed their new menu. This time however, we worked closely with the chefs to make a ton of images, as well as a few really cool promotional videos. You can see them all in this article about Finding My Creative Spark With Chef Sébastien Cassagnol.
Food Photography Of The Day

Today I’m offline, catching up on the simpler life. No studio. No Internet. Just this pen, paper and my new fold-up camp chair. I’ve moved my office to the forested banks of some lake I don’t know the name of. It’s beautiful.
Since I started writing a lot more, I’ve tried to change my scenery every day. I quite my day job as the head of a photography department and photography lecturer to focus on my art full time. I figured now that I’m my own boss for the first time, I better lay down some rules.
First Rule: The studio is for shooting, not writing.
Acceptable locations for writing: Coffee shops, the woods, the car (as long as it’s parked someplace with a beautiful view), the banks of a river or lake, under a waterfall or on mountain top, etc…
One rule is enough for today, I’ll work on the other rules later.
