While working on assignment for Ritz Carlton Magazine I was introduced to Chef Jörgen Sodemann and his artfully crafted and delicious cuisine. Waking at 5 a.m. I met him and his team on the beach of the Al Bustan Palace Resort while a local fisherman landed his boat shallow warm waters. Chef Jörgen selected a large tuna and an hour later I was presented with this beautiful dish to photograph.
Food Photography Of The Day
What I really love about this food photograph is that the composition splits the frame, creating the appearance of two photographs that relate to each other like a diptych. Rarely in food photography do I get the chance to compose an image that makes me do a double-take so I welcome the opportunity when I see it.
